Tata Motors is presently focused on updating its car lineup to meet the BS6 Phase 2 and RDE standards, which will be enforced from 1st April. The Harrier and Safari have already undergone the necessary changes, and we anticipate that the remaining models will be updated shortly.
Interestingly, Tata has recently revised the fuel efficiency figures of its Nexon model on its website, which could be a consequence of upgrading the engines to meet the new emission regulations. Consequently, all variants of the car, including petrol, diesel, manual transmission, and automatic transmission, now offer better mileage than before.
The Tata Nexon has recently demonstrated improved fuel efficiency in both its petrol and diesel variants. In the case of the petrol MT version, the mileage has increased from 17.10kmpl to 17.33kmpl, indicating a gain of 0.23kmpl. Similarly, the AMT version now provides a fuel economy of 17.05kmpl, as compared to the previous figure of 17.04kmpl.
As for the diesel range, the MT versions of the Tata Nexon have undergone a significant increase in fuel efficiency, with the figure rising from 21.1kmpl to 23.22kmpl, an improvement of 2.12kmpl. The AMT versions have also seen a boost in fuel economy, now delivering 24.07kmpl compared to the earlier 22kmpl, resulting in a gain of 2.07kmpl. Importantly, all of these mileage figures have been approved by ARAI.
